Update 1.42 is almost here, and players have only a short window to clean up their current progression before Phantom Targets Part 2 arrives. If you have been collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints while working through the first event stages, August 18 is a good date to use as your personal preparation deadline. It gives you a clear point for deciding what still needs to be completed.
The importance of ARC Raiders BluePrints goes beyond simply having more crafting options. Some Expedition rewards remain available after a soft-wipe, while event-related blueprints can help prepare your account for future activities. With the Phantom Targets Player Project ending on September 6, finishing the basic milestones now can give you more time for the final rewards later.
Complete The Phantom Targets Stages
The first task is straightforward: finish Part 1 if you have not already done so. The three stages cover exploration, special equipment, and combat challenges.
Stage 1 sends you across the Rust Belt to repair faulty antenna arrays. Completing it gives you the Combat Mk. 3 (Aggressive) blueprint, Heavy Shield, and Vita Spray. These rewards make the stage worthwhile even if you are mainly interested in preparing for Part 2.
Stage 2 requires Drive Devices and specific damage against ARC units. Try to complete it while progressing through normal raids. There is little reason to create unnecessary runs when the objective can be combined with other activities.
Stage 3 requires several different damage types and weapons. Fire damage, Energy Weapons, and Launcher Ammo all have roles here, while flying ARC units are part of the challenge. Preparing the necessary equipment beforehand can prevent repeated trips back to the bunker.
Finish The Limited-Time Trials
The August 10–16 trial cycle is another area where timing matters. These objectives are connected to specific locations and conditions, so waiting until the final hours can make completion unnecessarily frustrating.
For Riven Tides Beach Containers, search the open storage crates along the shoreline. Storm Farming requires an Electromagnetic storm and suitable ARC targets such as Assessors, Probes, and Couriers. Celontis areas can be particularly useful for finding these encounters.
The Snap Blast Grenade challenge focuses on flying ARC units. Rocketiers can provide practical targets for this objective. Meanwhile, the Buried City requirement asks players to find Bird Nests specifically within that map, making map rotation an important part of the process.
Do not forget the crafting rewards. Materials collected through these trials can contribute toward the Striker Outfit Cosmetic, Epic Whole Cracker Pump Launcher, and Padded Stock Weapon Blueprint.
Check Your Expedition Progress
Expedition 4 players should also examine their Caravan progress. The current system places more emphasis on permanent progression through blueprints, tokens, and Expedition rewards.
Permanent stash expansion can eventually reach 60 additional slots after the fifth Expedition reset. If you are currently completing Expedition 4, reaching the Caravan requirements and the 100,000 total damage milestone can provide another 12 slots, bringing the permanent total to 48.
The earlier damage milestones are useful as well. The 5,000, 10,000, 30,000, 50,000, and 100,000 thresholds can provide starter blueprints that stay with your character after the next soft-wipe. If you are close to one of these milestones, it makes sense to prioritize it before the deadline.
Organize Your Stash
Material preparation is less exciting than chasing event rewards, but it can save considerable time once Part 2 begins. Tick Pods should be kept in reasonable quantities because they are commonly found inside buildings and may have uses connected to both Tick Hunter objectives and the Medical Lab.
ARC Alloy and Powercells are also valuable. Wasps and Hornets are convenient sources, so you can replenish these materials during ordinary farming runs instead of making special trips.
Fireworks deserve similar treatment. Since recent objectives have required them for damage against flying ARC machines, selling every spare Firework for quick currency could leave you short when another related objective appears.
Use The Remaining Time Wisely
The best preparation strategy is not necessarily to farm everything possible. Instead, focus on objectives with clear deadlines and permanent value. Complete Part 1, clear the limited-time trials, advance your Caravan, and maintain a useful stockpile of materials before Update 1.42 arrives.
After that, you can decide which additional resources are worth acquiring based on your preferred playstyle. Players who want to supplement their normal farming can consider an ARC Raiders buy Loot option to fill specific gaps, particularly when they are preparing for a new event and do not want to spend every available raid collecting basic materials.
The September 6 closing date means there is still time after August 18, but that time should be spent on the new content rather than unfinished preparation. Going into Part 2 with completed milestones and an organized stash gives you a much cleaner starting point.
