The latest Chanter changes have made Aion 2 Kinah and gear planning more relevant for support players who want to keep up with endgame content. The August 12 update reduces direct healing while increasing healing range, creating a support style that depends more on preparation, positioning, and active combat.
For players already spending Aion 2 Kinah on equipment improvements, this is a good time to review whether their current stats actually match the new mechanics. The days of relying mainly on defensive support stats and standing safely behind the party are becoming less reliable after the healing rework.
Range Comes With a Cost
The most important mechanical change is the expansion of many Chanter and Cleric healing abilities from 25 meters to 40 meters.
At first glance, this seems like a straightforward improvement. Being able to heal from farther away makes certain encounters safer and gives support players more freedom during movement-heavy mechanics.
However, the update reduces raw healing output at the same time. Lower-level healing can lose around 20% of its previous output, while higher-level values can be reduced by as much as 50%.
The result is a deliberate trade-off. You gain safety and flexibility, but you cannot expect the same healing throughput as before.
Prevention Is Better Than Recovery
Because direct healing is weaker, barriers now deserve a much larger place in the Chanter toolkit.
Grand Protection is particularly useful for groups that coordinate around incoming attacks. A well-timed shield can reduce the amount of health that needs to be restored later, making your limited healing output more effective.
Chanters should also use offensive rotations to help trigger defensive effects. This makes the class more involved during combat and prevents the support role from becoming a passive cycle of watching health bars.
The better you become at predicting incoming damage, the more valuable this style becomes.
Attack Power Changes Build Priorities
One of the most important details of the patch is the redesign of healing scaling.
Flat healing amplification from passives has been removed, while healing passives now scale with Attack Power. That means offensive stats have a direct connection to support performance.
Might and percentage-based Attack Bonus should therefore receive more attention when adjusting gear and Genius choices.
This does not mean defensive stats are completely worthless. Rather, you should avoid sacrificing too much offensive scaling simply because you are playing a support class. Your Attack Power now helps your damage and your healing-related mechanics simultaneously.
Multi-Hit Adds More Value
The hybrid approach also makes Multi-Hit Chance more interesting.
Chanters can weave attacks between healing actions to generate additional opportunities for their offensive effects. Dark Rush and Whailing Blow become useful parts of this rotation because they allow you to contribute damage without abandoning your support responsibilities.
The important thing is timing. You should not chase damage at the expense of a teammate who needs immediate help. Instead, attacks should fill the gaps between important support actions.
That balance is what separates an effective hybrid Chanter from a player who is simply trying to increase the damage meter.
Utility Becomes Part of Survival
Healing reductions in Battlegrounds make offensive utility even more important.
Fracturing Blow can reduce enemy defenses and help your primary damage dealers secure kills more quickly. Power of the Storm can provide useful attack bonuses and cooldown reduction for the group.
These effects may not look like traditional support abilities, but they directly improve party survival by shortening dangerous encounters.
In other words, the new Chanter does not always protect the group by restoring health. Sometimes the best protection is helping the party remove a threat faster.
PvP Requires More Movement
The August PvP changes create another reason to rethink positioning. Overall PvP damage has been reduced, while several classes have improved anti-healing tools.
This can produce longer fights, but longer fights do not necessarily make raw healing more powerful. If healing reduction effects are active, repeatedly casting recovery abilities may not be enough.
The new 40-meter range gives Chanters a valuable tool for cleansing and assisting teammates from a safer position. Recuperation can remove two debuffs, making it particularly useful when allies are being pressured.
After using that range advantage, however, moving back toward the action can allow you to use shields, buffs, and disruption abilities more effectively.
A Different Kind of Support
For players preparing for new content, the Chanter rework is a good reason to reconsider how resources are spent. Gear upgrades should support the new hybrid approach rather than simply copying an older healing build. If you are looking for cheap Aion 2 Kinah, the most useful purchase is still the one that helps you build toward the stats and equipment your current content actually requires.
The updated Chanter is ultimately less about filling health bars as quickly as possible and more about controlling the flow of combat. Shields prevent damage, Attack Power supports both offense and healing, debuffs improve kill speed, and positioning determines how effectively you can switch between roles.
